At Youth Education and Sports, Inc., every donation we receive goes directly toward building something meaningful in the lives of young people. Since 2002, we have been working with student-athletes, artists, and youth from communities across the country, giving them access to mentoring, academic preparation, character development, and the tools they need to reach their full potential. None of that work happens without the generosity of people who believe in what we are doing.
This Donation Policy exists to make sure that every person who gives to our organization understands exactly how that process works. We want donors to feel completely informed and confident at every step, from the moment a gift is made to the way it is used to serve the young people in our programs. Transparency and accountability are values we hold in every part of our organization, and our approach to accepting and managing donations is no different.
Please take a few minutes to read through this policy. If you have questions about anything described here, we are always happy to talk with you directly
Youth Education and Sports, Inc. is a nonprofit organization operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This status means that qualifying donations made to our organization may be tax-deductible for the donor, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
When you make a qualifying donation, you may be entitled to deduct the value of that donation from your federal taxable income. The specific tax benefit available to you will depend on your individual tax situation, the nature of your contribution, and whether any goods or services were provided to you in connection with your gift.
We strongly encourage all donors to consult with a qualified tax professional for guidance on the deductibility of their specific contribution. Youth Education and Sports cannot provide personalized tax advice, but we are glad to provide documentation of your donation that can be used when working with your tax advisor.
As a registered nonprofit, Youth Education and Sports is committed to operating with full compliance with all applicable federal and state laws governing charitable organizations. Our financial records are maintained with care and accuracy, and we take our fiduciary responsibilities to our donors, our participants, and the public seriously.
Youth Education and Sports welcomes financial contributions from individuals, families, community groups, and organizations that share our commitment to supporting youth development and education.
Donations can be made through our secure online donation portal, which is accessible through our website. Our online giving platform is designed to make the process simple, secure, and straightforward. You can make a one-time gift or set up a recurring donation depending on your preferences.
If you prefer to donate by phone or would like to discuss giving options before making a contribution, you are welcome to contact us directly. Our team is available to answer your questions and assist you through the process.
We also accept donations made by check. Checks should be made payable to Youth Education and Sports, Inc. and mailed to our address at 1333 Cedar Grove Rd. #1601, Conley, GA 30288.
For donors interested in making larger gifts, planned giving arrangements, or contributions of non-cash assets, we encourage you to reach out to us directly so that we can discuss how to structure your gift in a way that best aligns with your intentions and our organizational needs
Every dollar donated to Youth Education and Sports is directed toward our mission of serving young people. Our programs depend on charitable support to reach the students and families who need them most, and we are committed to using the resources entrusted to us as effectively and responsibly as possible.
Donations support a range of activities including the operation of our mentoring and academic compliance programs, the development and delivery of program materials, access to our digital portfolio tools for enrolled students, the training and support of our mentors and program staff, community outreach and engagement efforts, and the ongoing improvement of our online platforms and program resources.
We are intentional about keeping our administrative costs reasonable so that the maximum possible portion of every donation goes toward direct program services. We believe donors deserve to know that their contribution is making a real difference in the lives of real young people, and we work hard to ensure that is exactly what happens
Donations to Youth Education and Sports may be made as unrestricted gifts or as gifts designated for a specific purpose.
An unrestricted gift gives our organization the flexibility to direct funds where they are most needed at any given time. This type of gift is often the most valuable to a nonprofit because it allows us to respond to emerging needs, support our highest-priority programs, and maintain the operational stability that makes our work possible. If you make a donation without specifying how it should be used, it will be treated as an unrestricted gift.
A restricted gift is one that the donor designates for a specific program, activity, or purpose. If you would like your donation to support a particular program or initiative, such as the Student Athlete and Artist Achievement Program or the Southern Skillshot Training Camp, you may indicate that preference at the time of your gift. We will make every reasonable effort to honor that designation.
Please be aware that if a restricted gift cannot be applied to its designated purpose due to a change in circumstances, we will contact the donor to discuss alternative uses for the funds before redirecting the contribution. We will never apply a restricted gift to a purpose that is inconsistent with the donor's clearly stated intentions without making reasonable efforts to obtain donor agreement.
Youth Education and Sports will provide written acknowledgment of every donation received. This acknowledgment serves as documentation of your contribution and can be used for tax purposes.
For donations made online, a confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide at the time of your gift. For donations made by check or other means, we will send acknowledgment by email or mail within a reasonable period following receipt of your contribution.
In accordance with Internal Revenue Service requirements, our acknowledgment will include the date of the contribution, the amount of the contribution, a statement indicating whether any goods or services were provided to you in exchange for the gift, and if goods or services were provided, a description and good-faith estimate of their value.
If you have not received acknowledgment of a donation within a reasonable time, or if you need a duplicate copy of your donation documentation for any reason, please contact us and we will be glad to assist you.
It is your responsibility as the donor to determine the tax deductibility of your contribution and to comply with all applicable tax reporting requirements. We encourage you to retain your acknowledgment letter for your records and to consult with a qualified tax professional as needed
Youth Education and Sports accepts recurring donations from supporters who wish to provide ongoing financial support to our mission. Recurring gifts can be set up through our online donation portal and may be scheduled on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis depending on your preference.
Recurring donations provide us with a more predictable source of funding, which helps us plan our programs, maintain staffing continuity, and serve young people with greater consistency. We are genuinely grateful to the donors who choose to give in this sustained way.
You may modify or cancel your recurring donation at any time by contacting us directly or through the online portal. We ask that cancellation or modification requests be submitted at least five business days before the next scheduled transaction to allow adequate processing time. We will confirm the change or cancellation and will not process further charges after a cancellation has been confirmed.
If you experience any difficulty managing your recurring donation, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue promptly and without complications
Youth Education and Sports understands that occasionally a donor may make a contribution in error or under circumstances that make a refund appropriate. We evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis and handle them with fairness and good judgment.
If you believe a donation was made in error, such as a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorized transaction, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review the circumstances and work to resolve the matter in a timely way.
Refund requests for charitable donations should be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date. Requests submitted after that period may be considered at our discretion depending on the specific circumstances.
Please note that once a donation has been designated for and applied to specific program expenses, a full refund may not be possible. In those cases, we will work with the donor to find an appropriate resolution that respects both the donor's situation and our obligations to the young people we serve.
To request a refund or discuss a concern related to a donation transaction, please contact us at yes@youtheducationandsports.org or by phone at +1 (404) 926‑6494.
In addition to financial contributions, Youth Education and Sports may accept in-kind donations of goods or services that directly support our programs and operations. Examples of in-kind contributions that may be appropriate include educational materials and supplies, sporting equipment, technology equipment such as computers or tablets, printing and design services, and professional services that support our organizational needs.
All in-kind donation offers are subject to review and acceptance by our organization. We accept only those in-kind gifts that genuinely serve our mission and that we have the capacity to use appropriately. We are not able to accept in-kind donations that are not relevant to our programs or that would create a burden on our operations.
For in-kind donations, donors are responsible for determining the fair market value of their contribution for tax purposes. Youth Education and Sports will provide written acknowledgment of in-kind gifts received but will not assign a monetary value to those gifts. Donors should consult with a qualified tax professional regarding the deductibility of in-kind contributions
Youth Education and Sports respects the privacy of every person who supports our organization. We do not sell, rent, or share donor information with outside parties for marketing or solicitation purposes. Donor information is used only to process contributions, provide acknowledgment and documentation, communicate relevant updates about our programs, and fulfill any legal reporting obligations applicable to our nonprofit status.
If you wish to make an anonymous donation, please indicate that preference at the time of your gift. We will honor that request and will not publicly identify you as a donor without your permission. If you have previously given permission for us to recognize your support publicly and wish to change that preference, please contact us and we will update our records accordingly.
Our full privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website and covers all personal information collected in connection with your relationship with Youth Education and Sports
Youth Education and Sports is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct in all of our financial practices. We maintain accurate and complete financial records, operate in full compliance with applicable nonprofit regulations, and make every effort to ensure that charitable resources are used effectively in service of our mission.
We welcome questions from donors about our financial practices and program outcomes. If you would like information about how our funds are used or would like to request financial documentation that we are able to share, please contact us directly. We are committed to being as transparent as possible about our operations.
Our organization undergoes regular financial review, and we take seriously our obligation to the donors, participants, and community members who trust us to steward charitable resources responsibly.
If you have any questions about this Donation Policy, about making a contribution, or about the programs your donation will support, we would love to hear from you.
